TAS ANNULLED MANCHESTER CITY'S SANCTION AND THEY CAN PLAY THE NEXT SEASONS OF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

The club had been sanctioned by UEFA for alleged breaches of financial fair-play.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) has lifted the ban imposed by UEFA against Manchester City that prevented it from playing the next two editions of European club tournaments.

The TAS has concluded that the "majority of the alleged infringements reported" by UEFA's financial control body "were not proven or prescribed", and therefore ordered that the sanction should be annulled.
UEFA excluded Manchester City last February for two seasons from European tournaments, including the Champions League, for violating financial fair play between 2012 and 2016. It also fined it € 30 million (almost 34 million dollars).

But the TAS has also reduced that fine and the City will have to pay 10 million euros ($ 11.3 million) to the governing body of European football.

For its part, UEFA stated that it "takes note" of the decision made by the sports court and will not comment further on it.
